So pleased with how Nigel went at this show; some beautiful Border Collies in the ring with us and he stood perfectly (our training is paying off!). He lacked a little drive on the day due to the ever-growing temperature but I was still really pleased with him.

So pleased with how Nigel went at this show; the Border Collies in his classes were absolutely stunning and so well turned out. They were far more experienced than Nigel so for him to still finish in the final line up in both of his classes of 9+ dogs was brilliant for us! This was his first experience of an outside show and it was an incredibly hot day. Nigel doesn't enjoy the heat at all but still did so well, proud of our boy and now a well-earned break while we get married and go on honeymoon!

Well what can I say! What a fantastic day we had at such a well-run show despite the heat. This was Dotty's first show where she was able to actually be entered and she really seemed to enjoy herself, taking it all in her stride in a noisy and busy atmosphere. She showed her barely six months socks off and did us both so proud, learning from her brother Nigel just how to behave at shows. Nigel did fantastically too; the first time that Jack has had to step in and show him for me as I was still in the ring with Dotty. Jack and Nigel worked brilliantly as a team and took second place in Nigel's breed class - Jack can show him more often! Nigel and I then went into the yearling stakes class and took third place, my good boy as always. Just love this dog so much. So proud of my show stars!

Very pleased with our dogs today; both went the best they've ever gone and I'm slightly gutted for them both that this wasn't quite reflected in their results, although still amazing achievements for the both of them when up against some beautiful dogs. Nigel is really coming into his own now - he's approaching two years old and his movement was spot on today, just love this boy!

Our local member's limited show today and Dotty was a little star. Lots of different dogs in the ring with her and she took it all in her stride. She still has a lot of growing into herself to do but I'm so proud at how well she has taken to showing before she's even nine months old and she really enjoys herself!

Thank you as always to the judges for thinking so highly of our dogs. Only a few more shows left for 2018, what a year it has been! Dotty critique: "A promising youngster with a beautiful overall body shape. Dark eye, good mouth and keep expression. In good coat, very nice movement. She has a bright future ahead" - Thank you judge Gill Thomas.

Super Nigel strikes again! Thank you to Judge Doug Bedford for thinking so highly of our boy, critique: "Strong in head and muzzle with plenty of stop. Lovely shape to eye, good ear set, very well structured front and super level topline. Broad in thigh, lovely low hock and turn of stifle. Well presented and moved soundly with purpose all round"

Our first time at LKA and a lovely way to finish off the year; Nigel did fantastically, his first show on carpet and took it all in his stride in a big class of stunning dogs. We were very happy to take third place, thank you to judge Carolyn Ward.

Roll on 2019!
